Preparation for a Muay Thai fight begins the first time you walk through the gym doors. Of course, that isn't to say everyone who trains will want to fight. Everyone trains for different outcomes but even those with no intention of fighting will, no doubt, briefly consider it. After all, the thought must have crossed their mind for them to decide that they have no intention of fighting.

The Main Event fight against Dakota proved to be up their with the adults on the main card as a thrilling back and forth affair with both girls showing amazing technique, ringcraft, and aggression that seemed totally at odds with their respective ages of 13 and 15. At that age you only normally see that level of talent and fight maturity in professional camps in Thailand.
The SANDEE Superstar of the Month Award will be given to one talented young person in the sport of Muay Thai.
SANDEE is looking to support talented Junior Thai Boxers who not only do well in the ring and in competition, but more importantly how well they are doing outside of it, such as school, at home or in their community.
The Superstar of The Month Award will go to boys and girls who train hard but have focus on discipline, respect and understand the importance of having the right attitude and work ethic across all things not just Muay Thai.
SANDEE recognise that along with many other sports, Muay Thai can focus young people in achieving great things inside and outside of the ring and we look to give something back to the grass roots of Muay Thai and support youngsters in their achievements,
The MAIN EVENT Thai Boxing Promotion, with its move to the new bigger and better venue at the USN Bolton Arena, showcased some of the best Muay Thai boxing and biggest production values of any combat sports show in the UK, on Saturday the 7th June 2014.
The show was a spectacular success, despite the changes to the line up when Liam Harrison withdrew from the card after being hospitalised in the week up to the fight.
The Fight Card saw a mix of the best UK talent with some top class European competitors coming over to fight Britain's best.
Panicos who originally hails from Cyprus, started Muay Thai in 2000 on the Mediterranean island, before making a permanent move to the UK in 2005, settling in Manchester where he picked up his training with Manchester based instructor Paul Tite of Stockport Thai Fighters.

After a brilliant performance at the WKA Brits Celtic Challenge Tournament in May, we decided that we had to welcome 16 year old Lauren Huxley to the SANDEE Academy which exists to support some of the most talented juniors in the sport of Thai Boxing.
Here at SANDEE we wanted to develop a program that identified the best junior talent within the UK & Europe and ensure that that these Juniors have the best possible equipment, that lasts & performs, so they can go on to greater accomplishments with the sport & become one of those World Champions in the spotlight.
With this we are delighted to announce that our newest member of the Academy is Lauren "The Hatchet" Huxley, from Swansea, Wales.
Martin has been involved in Muay Thai since he started training the age of 12 in Cork, Ireland under Anthony Corkery, and is now known for producing massive promotions in Irish Muay Thai which has seen him bringing some of the biggest names in Muay Thai to Irish shores, including champions from Thailand and Europe, with super fights such as Rungravee vs Pornsanea and Saenchai vs Bennoui, and an incredible list of UK and European stars and top class fighters inlcuding Jordan Watson V Cedric Muller ,James France v Josh Palmer ,Seamus Cogan v Panicos , Rungravee v Ilias ,Panicos v Palmer ,Harrison v Campoli ,Jose v Kane ,O Callaghan v Howson 1 ,Saenchai v Bennoui ,Dean James vs Rungravee 1 ,Pornsanea v Rungravee ,Paul Semtex Daley vs Alexander Stetcurenko and Watson vs Kehl.
