SANDEE partners with Established North East MMA Promotion EIKO
We are pleased to announce we have become the official MMA Equipment supplier to EIKO.
EIKO aims to bring the best combative sports to the octagon, focusing on the pure intensity, high action and skill of the martial arts on show. EIKO refuses to adopt any negative language or promotion associated with MMA, K1 or Kickboxing we feel holds the sport’s image back in this country.
One of EIKO's main aims is to improve the public’s awareness of MMA in the North East as the EIKO organisers believe the region has a fantastic pool of clubs and fighters worth promoting for their skills and abilities. With that in mind, Eikö will become a platform for existing clubs participating in their events to promote themselves as well as their martial artists.
EIKO always tries to pit top local fighters against each other as well as attract fighters from across the UK and Europe to headline their shows. This gives local fighters the best chance to springboard themselves onto bigger and better fights whether it be with Eikö or elsewhere eventually.

NEIL WAIN CROWNED HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMP AT EIKO 7
EIKO's last event in March - EIKO 7, saw ex UFC fighter Neil "Old School" Wain crowned the first EIKO Heavyweight Champion after a gruelling 3 round fight against Andy Spiers. This was Wains first MMA fight after a two year break.
WAIN who fought Shane Carwin on UFC 89 Bisping v Leben, is now on a four fight win streak and became EIKO's first Heavyweight Champion

Eikö started with its first show on March 25th 2012, we ended our second year with our 8th show, crowning 2 new champions and sending our second 4-man tournament winner, once again, to Thailand. As we approach our first show in our 3rd year, we look to progress things further by building new partnerships that can help benefit the show and improve the quality for everyone involved. The first new partnership of this sort is one we are very excited about and pleased to have announced that Sandee are to be our official MMA equipment sponsors.
From now on, they will supply the gloves for both our Professional and Amateur bouts, meaning that everyone is on the same playing field. We have looked to bring this in since day one and we have had some offers but felt that it needed to be of a quality that only a brand like Sandee, with it’s heritage, experience and expertise could bring to the table.
With the strength of the Amateur fighters improving with every show, as local clubs raise their game at each calling, we feel this is particularly important for the UAR MMA. With there being so many variations on the Amateur Glove, supplying each fighter with the same gloves will ensure everyone is on the same playing field.
